Ointment FAQ
The results and their manifestation are always individual in nature. They depend on the type and severity of the damage and the reactivity of the patient’s organism. In simpler cases, the ailment may be alleviated or may disappear after only a few days or weeks, while in more difficult cases, repeated treatment courses may be necessary.
No ointment is safe if it is not used correctly. The Colocynth ointment is intended only for external use and any other use may cause complications. Problems may occur if the person using the ointment is allergic to one of the ointment’s components. Therefore, it is advisable to test your reaction to the ointment before beginning the treatment: apply a thin layer of ointment to an area the size of 3–4 square centimetres on the back of your hand or the inside of your forearm. Monitor the area of skin where the ointment was applied for 2–4 hours for any changes. Itching, redness or a rash all indicate that you are allergic to one of the ointment’s components and should not use the ointment to treat yourself.
The ointment does not contain any preservatives. The Colocynth ointment is made of natural oils and extracts.
First of all, it must be said that a very small amount of Colocynth ointment is needed for one procedure. There is no point in wasting the ointment and applying it as a thick layer as this will not increase its effect. If you apply the ointment once or twice a day as a thin layer, there will be enough of it for several courses of treatment. All in all, the Colosynth ointment will prove to be very cheap and effective to use. Before purchasing a large jarful, you might want to try out the little jar that contains 10 grams of ointment. This will allow you to find out how the ointment works, after which you can order more of it.
It is advisable to use the Colocynth ointment as a sports salve in the following cases: overtraining, strains, contusions, twists, sprains and less serious bruises. The ointment can be applied to problematic body parts, such as the back, the neck and other joints and soft tissue. The Colocynth ointment has been known to show curative properties with regard to the following: joint aches, inflammatory processes in tendons, ligaments, superficial veins and muscles, traumas, contusions, and hematomas. It can also be used to rub the problematic body part after the end of a massage procedure.
Do not apply the Colocynth ointment to damaged skin, open wounds or mucous membranes! Wash your hands thoroughly after use. Avoid allowing the ointment to come into contact with your nose, mouth and eyes.
Wash the area with soap and water and rinse thoroughly.
It is recommended to use the ointment in the case of chronic illnesses for the purpose of alleviating pain and muscle tension as well as improving one’s metabolism.
The ointment is much more effective when it is used in the early stages of traumas, illnesses or ailments and less effective when organic changes have already developed as a result of the ailments.
The ointment is made of 17 herbal oils and extracts. No preservatives have been used in making the ointment. A more detailed description of the ingredients is available from the INGREDIENTS menu on the webpage, on the product’s safety card in INFORMATION and on the product information sheet on the package.
The Colocynth ointment is meant for external use. Apply the ointment by gently massaging the problematic areas (which should be washed immediately before and left slightly damp) with circular motions until the ointment is completely absorbed. Do this twice a day. The Colocynth ointment should be used for at least 2–3 weeks consecutively. In less serious cases, the effect will be felt 2–3 hours after applying the ointment, while in more serious cases, the ointment’s effect will become apparent only during the second half of the treatment course.
You should test yourself before starting a course of treatment involving the ointment: apply a thin layer of ointment to an area the size of 3–4 square centimetres on the back of your hand or the inside of your forearm. Monitor the area of skin where the ointment was applied for 2–4 hours for any changes. Itching, redness or a rash all indicate that you are allergic to one of the ointment’s components and should not use the Colocynth ointment to treat yourself.
People who are allergic to any of the ointment’s ingredients should not use the Colocynth ointment during pregnancy or when breastfeeding. Also, women who are pregnant or breastfeeding should not use the ointment for prolonged periods of time (should avoid several consecutive courses of treatment). The ointment should be used for alleviating ailments for a single course of treatment lasting 2–3 weeks
There is 20 grams / 0.71 oz / 32 millilitres of Colocynth ointment in the jar.
